Why worry?

First, let's define the concern. There are many ways we could describe it. The concern is fear: paint pictures in your mind. And if you watch that mental movie too long, you get a false picture of how things really are. Concern is a station of mental transmission and most of the time it is false or at least distorted propaganda. Concern has that cunning way to stop before giving all the facts.
The concern is often the deception of mentally leaked facts on the negative side, and the bold statements that these are all facts.
Concern has the mental audacity to suggest that the elevator only runs in one direction: down. Many times the concern is a five-alarm bell for a litter fire. And worry is an exhaustion of constructive emotion. It is wasted mental energy. It's like letting the starter run out of battery when the car doesn't start. And the concern is usually the lack of all the facts: a lack of total understanding, a lack of total information and a lack of preparation of skill, knowledge, talent, courage, faith and all other virtues. That should give us a better definition of concern. And remember, if you don't control yourself, you can become like a crazy dog lost in the house. And grief, pain and regret are too high a price to pay, not to do something about it is to do it now.
You see, if he contemplated the total sum of human suffering long enough, it would drive him crazy. You must understand what life is like: human suffering, the inhumanity of man towards man, war, disease and poverty. But it must be in what I call your legitimate proportion of your mental and emotional time. Too much for what the concern is.
We have to free ourselves from worry and the next question is: what can I do about it? Which is the first step?
My best advice is to first recognize the concern for what it is, admit what it does and then decide that you now want to be free. First start with a decision on your part. And I can add, well, you must decide.
• Why let worry no longer stop you from becoming everything you can be?
• Why let worry rob you of better friendships, better business, better profits, better results, better communication and better family relationships?
• Why continue to impose your concern on others? It's a burden you can get rid of, and a monkey that you can get rid of your back.
• Why not get rid of those sinking, scolding, feelings that everything will not be right, that you cannot do it, that it will not work in the best way?
Worry is an undue worry that takes up too much mental and emotional time. Now, we must all be worried. Hey, life is no joke, except for jokers. Life and how to live it is a serious matter.
It is risky, full of danger. And there are constant threats to the good we want and the pursuit of happiness. However, it is an undue worry, or a worry that takes too much mental time what the damage begins.
It is like a family planning a wonderful trip. While they should certainly be concerned about the condition of the car, the tires and make sure they chose the right route, it would be silly to allow themselves to be completely negative with the idea that they could crash and kill the whole family. If that were the case, even if they were, the whole trip would turn into a scary nightmare with a spectrum of chaos looming around each curve, instead of enjoying the wonderful trip they had planned for themselves and their family.
Many people do that with their whole lives, so if you want to change let's start the road to trust and adventure without the habit of worrying. We can tell ourselves:
• I am tired of being beaten and bothered with all those negative mental images.
• I refuse to be fooled by false facts.
• I'm really not that weak.
• I never want those sick feelings inside, those false mental alarms.
• I am tired of the shame of lack of trust.
• I no longer want people, especially my family, to see me in this state.
• I have more to offer.
• I refuse to let my life go short, letting my mind go crazy with a distorted view of the facts, whether I mention it or if it comes from someone else.
Let's prove it to ourselves. Let's think about all the things that worried us, all the fantastic and catastrophic events that good counselors had told us was going to happen. Let's be glad that none of them happened to us. Or else we would not be alive today. Ninety percent of the things that concern us never happen anyway. All of us have had these well-intentioned (?) Advisors who want to look bigger in the eyes of those they want to advise and immediately become weird and describe each of the bad options they can think of. By the time they finished, he who has come to look for some trust and help wonders why he even bothers to continue living. And the fact is that those things will never happen anyway.
Now let's ask what our minds tell us or what others say and promise not to look for false alarms. This first step will begin to discuss with our thoughts of concern and then examine our fears and concerns to see if they are valid. And don't let our mind play those mental tricks any longer.
I wish you a very peaceful day.
