Spend a night with difficulty sleeping is normal. Stress, worries of everyday life and responsibilities can occupy your mind and prevent rest. Just remember that it is common that this situation pass quickly when you find the solution to your problems or concerns. If you prove to sleep a constant problem without medical cause, give yourself a break. Many people with depression have trouble falling sleep while others sleep more. Analyze your sleep habits and identify any recent changes. Is it hard to sleep ?, can spend more hours than normal sleeping ?, what thoughts you have before and after sleeping? What is not normal is that suddenly you feel no desire to do anything. Depression absorbs all your energy and leaves you lethargic. Too much blame without reason is not healthy. Depression makes you feel guilty for everything. If you lately you blame yourself for everything from your divorce to your problems adult children, etc.etc .. you should analyze what's going on. Some people show as the first symptom of depression only fault. Others show guilt and sadness or guilt and anger. Before criticizing or believe that you are exaggerating the situation, try to see that you feel and why. It might not seem so, but many people hide their depression behind the smile. With them it is more difficult to know their status. If you are one of these people, it is important to understand that no one will judge or criticize your emotions.
If you're having trouble staying focused can be a sign of depression. People with this problem often have trouble remembering where you left your things or what they had to do. It is important to learn to differentiate between the distraction caused by your obligations and caused by depression. Are you more focused on your problems? Your productivity is affected even if your routine is the same?
